The 7th September 2025 is World #Radiotherapy Awareness Day, the date the first patient was treated on a linear accelerator. Radiotherapy helps to cure #cancer, alleviates symptoms and improves quality of life. Radiotherapy is also a highly cost-effective cancer treatment.

Our Director, Professor David Sebag-Montefiore @montefiored.bsky.social on the #BBC Breakfast sofa this morning. More than 16,800 people die of #bowelcancer each year in the UK. Early diagnosis can help to cure ~90% of bowel #cancer patients. If you're over 50, do send your testing kit back!
