Senate Bill 22, which passed the Texas Legislature earlier this year, allocates $300 million toward the state's film incentive program every two years for the next decade. The recent increase in funding is thanks in part to stars like Matthew McConaughey and Taylor Sheridan who took the cause to the Capitol.
