I worry about the impacts of persisting with the current approach any longer.

Talented players are already bereft of confidence and seemingly without strong idea of how to play.

More defeats of this sort will make matters worse. And lengthen the recovery period.

I’m having the same thoughts

As someone who grew up in Stevenage, I’d prefer not to hear about Grok’s so-called wisdom

We had (and still have) the Wine Society. A much better connection, I think

I agree with your second point.

On the team point, the team has not yet formed. It’s still in the ‘storming’ phase.

I do think there’s a knowledge gap.

But, in some quarters, it’s coupled with a lack of curiosity and unwillingness to enquire and learn about how things really work and could work better

Please do.

I was always irritated when “European law” was the phrase used. It was, in fact, English law that became so because of the 1972 Act and the choices made in it.

Calling it “European” allowed us to pretend that it was something other and that we didn’t influence its content hugely

It also occurs to me that #LFC is more than just the first team.

There’s a stable of age-specific teams, and other groups too.

Looking at it as a system that relies on a blend homegrown and brought in talent is important.

Deciding who to invest in and why is complex and has to be done somehow.

That’s what I am thinking too.

A focus only on the short term would be unbalanced.

Building a sustainable squad and a set of skills that can be flexed according to differing demands in a very strong league is time consuming.

It’s that last sentence.
