A fantastic turn out for the hui for health public meeting last night. Heart wrenching accounts of our health practitioners going above and beyond and not receiving the support they deserve. It is an indictment on all of us that we’ve collectively let it get so dire.

I am really concerned that the fluoride decision will be held in confidential today, it would be entirely appropriate to have the decision in public then cover any privileged information in confidential afterwards.

It was a great honour to attend the powhiri onto the Whare Rūnanga Atea at waitangitreatygrounds this morning. The powhiri was for foreign diplomats, judges and local government.
It was a beautiful setting with lots of mahi going on in preparation for Waitangi Day celebrations on Thursday
