In addition to the hesitation to kill, I think that he had a legitimate concern that he would be confused with one of the terrorists if he had fired. Remember that he was under fire from the other shooter — it's possible he thought it was law enforcement.

The original Wire framing is a masterclass in composition. The 16:9 version is - ok? The HD version of Twin Peaks preserves the original framing - there's no reason it can't be done with these other classic shows!

I think people don't like pecan pie because it's commonly made with a ton of corn syrup and not nearly enough pecans. I believe it should be filled with pecans and I make it with maple syrup. It's just about my favorite desert in the world.

One of the pleasures of watching TV shows is talking to your friends and coworkers about it afterwards. If people start actually watching this it’ll be like hearing your friends talking about their dreams every day (and not in a good way)

It's an amazing tech demo. It clearly needs to be smaller, cheaper, +batt., etc. Even then who knows if something in this category will ever be a viable product (I know I can't imagine wanting a screen in my FOV while I'm out in public). I guess there're worse things for Apple to spend their R&D on.

Isn't there a big overlap with the guys who say "An armed society is a polite society"? I think they want and expect anyone who disagrees with them to be too scared to actually say so out loud
