DOGE so far has shown no understanding of efficiency.

If you save 5 billion dollars and bring cancer research to a halt, you have not improved efficiency.

Reading old literature is going to be a slow process until you get used to it. It helps to be mentally prepared for that ahead of time. The biggest obstacle to reading that stuff is your own mental state. Give yourself a goal and when you meet it, give yourself a little reward.
