i never thought i’d find myself mourning a marvel comic, but finding out that avengers academy has been cancelled feels like getting air punched out of my lungs. please give some love to this under-appreciated masterpiece because we need comics like these in our world

i’m rereading mann’s magic mountain and i can’t stop imagining hans castrop as an anemic 70s manga shōjo twink which can mean two things - one, my brain is fried by year 24 group (true), and two, the influence german literature had on the mangaka of that time is once again coming forth

in general when i look back at my youth, we had so little gay representation in media. glee was a fucking disaster, qaf was definitely not something i should have watched in my early teens, but it definitely made me feel like there are people like me somewhere out there and it will get better ig
