Two travelers living the life. Our fun life is out of our homebuilt teardrop trailer dubbed "The CrowsWing " our mobile work/camp life is out of a 19 foot E-Pro trailer we call the E-Crow. We tow them both with our Toyota Tacoma "Wild Crow"
Borrego Palm Canyon. Easily the most popular hike in Anza Borrego. Should you avoid it because it's busy? No. The scenery makes it worth the trouble. The hike itself is just plain fun too. Watch us walk this way on our latest youtube video: Where We Find Hidden Beauty in the Desert

Have you ever been on a bushwacking hike? We did one in Coyote Canyon in Anza Borrego. The bushes thought that idea was wack and whacked us right back! On the plus side, the flowers were pretty. Video is on our Flight of the CrowsWing youtube channel.

A "must see" attraction in California is the Galetta Meadows Estate Sculptures. If you can't make it to Borrego Springs, you can see these sculptures on our latest video on our youtube channel:

I ate chocolate after dinner. And, before you ask....No, I can not spare a square, I do not have a square to spare.

Another campsite. This one in Martin Creek State Park, just a couple more days until our next gig starts....

Today's kayak float at Choke Canyon State Park netted us a couple of new friends. Plus we had the most beautiful sunset to paddle back to the boat launch in. For a day that was supposed to be too windy for a paddle it turned out great!

The firewood was actually dry and burned well. Hotdogs, tortillas, Guacamole and rum was consumed. The fire burned low and we settled down for the night.

Our kayak float on the Falcon Reservoir was so much fun! We saw tons of birds! My favorite was the Great Kiskadee. We also saw a Tricolored Heron, a Harris Hawk, a Greater Yellowlegs, And I finally, after years of trying, got a decent shot of a Belted Kingfisher!

OK, I realize our campground loop is called "Javelina Run" but I didn't think they meant it literally.

Falcon State Park in Texas. We're just chillin' getting ready to start work soon. Nice park, lots and lots of birbs. If you need full hookups it's only 18 bucks a night!

When you go to Los Algodones for teeth cleaning, you come back with some extra essentials. Agave honey and a cute little Cactus with a vulture on it. Oh, and the sunset is pretty tonight!

What do you get when you travel 4 hours and only 18 miles of dirt two tracks roads in southern California? Views. Views for miles. A great spot for lunch. More views....and birds, lots of birds. Toodling is our favorite sport.

It's been raining off and on all day. Another pleasant and peaceful day in Anza Borrego. I love the smell of the desert in the rain.

Our fun today: A hike through some of the Arroyo Tapiado Mud Caves. Very cool to see, but man, I was really hoping an earthquake wouldn't happen while we were in there!

The windspeed was supposed to be high near Borrego Springs so we moved camp a few miles away. This one is tucked up next to the hillside and some rocks. Bonus: no one else is in sight, the nearest other camper is two miles down the road, we're a good 3 or 4 miles from pavement....

When you're in Anza Borrego and you need a fix.....stop by Los Jilberto's Taco Shop in Borrego Springs. The Carnitas Burrito (of which you see half) is killer. As is the Fish Burrito (which didn't make it to the photo shoot) Bring cash, they don't do credit...
