Veterans Day. I may be baffled by patriotism trappings, but I deeply respect service, sacrifice, and bravery. My dad Lloyd here at Presque Isle Army Air Force Base shortly after returning from the Pacific Front. He was a plotter, engineer, and radio tent operator.

I transition from Falloween to Fa-La-La-O'Ween by bringing out Ratstronaut and Foxmas. Which would be a good stop motion special.

Every weekend at work as security officer, it's the advance of the crows. They come up close and chatter at me like I supposed to know Crowish and they're imparting some secret Chosen One intel. Now I toss them some scraps and they get fed. Dunno if I'm just shit at this or if they've got a con on.

It's funny that older brother to youngest brother is a substantial gap when you're kids, but when one is now 63, and the other is 56, it's no longer a thing. Mark & Mik in apex aging guitarists-who-are-also-artists pose.

Oh, he's bringing Santa Claus, not Sharia Laws. Frickin' Autocorrect is out of control.

Welp, the stair stepper is still hard on the knees but I could probably sleep on the inversion table.

The saturation of Mamdani posts may be a bit much for some y'all, but come on, this is one lovely family. Mira is why Zoran understands media so well and why that understanding is fused with so much empathy.

Living in Bangor nearly a decade, surrounded by Stephen King Lore. But sometimes reminded my native Aroostook County is just as odd.

Corner of Main & Sweden St, Caribou, c.1900. About where the Caribou statue is now. 2nd photo is zoom detail.

Still photograph fairly decently despite 3 years of digestive/nerve disorder and sleep deprivation. So strange to be the trimmest I've been since the late 1970s, but spend every moment having to focus on completing the day. If I had my former strength with current size, it'd be less exhausting.
