The ones ganging up to do the bullying were the same over-privileged (but somehow always the victim) assholes that grew up to be white supremacists and Christian nationalists.

The ones being bullied in my high school were primarily the ethnic minorities, the females, the lgbt+ kids, the smart kids--all the same targets shitty adults hate now...

I remember one of the first survey questions being, "Do you ask other people questions about themselves?" then shifting into a fugue state trying to explain away to myself the truth that I don't and why that's not so strange.

Classic raven 'gronk' sound. They have that throaty croaking sound while crows have a higher-pitched caw. Ravens also have a distinctly spade-shaped tail while crows' are fan-shaped (only visible in flight), and ravens are much larger but that's hard to tell at a distance.
