A study asked 295 British people aged 13–22 who identify as trans: “How has the COVID pandemic changed or affected your own understanding of your gender identity?”

The most common reply was: “time for identity development.”

Now New Zealand is coming to grips with the limitations of gender affirming care for minors as well.

The evidence remains weak.

Anyone ethical should realize that this means we have to limit this care to clinical trials to improve the evidence.
