Apparently Jasper doesn’t have the infrastructure for FOIP requests. One local submitted her request and it’s been months and they’re apparently needing to install a whole new computer system? The mayor there once compared rainbow flags to swastikas. Don’t think they’re above board either…

Yes- and Jasper’s political structures are all actively avoiding addressing it, as well as Indigenous rights. The conversation is ALL about the tourism industry and the rebuild, which is happening without Indigenous voices or climate change awareness.
