Yes and the Unsullied who are transformed into warriors who know no fear and feel no pain by the Ghiscari are given the wine of courage to drink. The wine of courage contains "Black lotus". This is another reference to Howard's works, where the Black Lotus can often be found growing in Stygia.

Very cool, Toadstone and poison is very relevant! Its also a low-key reference to Robert E Howard. Howard had a short story called The Black Stone where people worshiped a black monolith that summons a toad god. This toad god would later be incorporated into the Cthulhu mythos as the god Tsathagua.
