I had so much trouble with this prompt! At first I wanted to draw a fairy flying in a field picking mushrooms but it didn't turn out how I wanted so I redrew the entire thing

I've been playing around with texture brushes recently and I think this one came out too soft

Matcha has been so popular recently and it's been fun seeing all the new matcha drink flavors. My preferred way of drinking it is just a simple sweetened matcha or a soy matcha latte

This is a matcha suncake from Ruyi Sunny Cake that my aunt got for me when she visited this summer ☀️
A suncake is a flaky dessert filled with maltose and it's one of my favorite desserts, though it's harder to find in the States but it's so nice with tea or even coffee 😊

I didn't remember exactly what it was and tried looking up this drink but it was from their seasonal menu so I couldn't find it 😅

I was looking through my photos for something chocolate (and realizing that I don't really take photos outside of travel) and found a picture of this drink with black cocoa from Granny Smith Pie in Japan that I ordered cause I thought it was cool

I tried to cut this in half to show the yolk but I ended up sort of squishing it a bit with the knife and everything sort of melded together 😅

I generally prefer the ones without an egg yolk inside but the egg yolk ones look more like the moon when you cut it so I thought that I would use that one for the photo reference

This is a Taiwanese mooncake from Té Company in NYC, which has a mung bean and egg yolk filling and is less sweet than the white lotus paste ones in my opinion (which are also good but I can't eat as much of it!)

I actually had so much trouble with drawing his facial expression and the lighting! I tried changing it a few times but decided to just post it and add portraits to my list of things to practice 😅

The main part of her character development takes place around 25 years or so earlier so I've been debating if I just want to work on that part first

Seren is actually a minor character in the main story and she doesn't actually show up until later but for some reason, I've been working on her story a lot lately
