What do you mean “robust”. The gating of data sets and the money involved in ensuring that modification instead of moderation, reduced profits, is pushing this agenda. To think otherwise is naive and socially irresponsible. The mitigating factor is a local one and moves the problem elsewhere.

Seems like big business has a gun to the head of every government, doesn’t matter their leaning they all cower under the whip of the lust for expansion and bugger the cost to future generations. We’re in the death throes of capitalism and they all want their piece of the pie before it’s gone.

Wasn't that what VAT was before it became another tool to reducing the income of the working people. Maybe a Luxury Value Added Tax for items over £20,000 at a rate commensurate with their ability to afford such items. Maybe a sliding LVAT would be more appropriate. #TaxTheRich #LuxuryVAT
