there's also a cannibalistic lizard mutant who is on the hunt for a main character's pancreas. That plot never resolves. Maybe in the fabled book 2 that never manifested....

This is actually the second scene in the book where a monstrosity half formed of stolen human limbs murders a child and mother before doing something goofy AF. Earlier a pond monster with musical instruments for a face ripped the arms off 2 ppl and used them to play delightful tunes. MODELLAND!!!
