Sometimes you load up a demo and can tell within ten seconds it's got the sauce. Queen's Domain gonna be good.

Final form: "Liber Holy Knight." Well worth the 30 Canuck Bucks. I'll probably scoop up some other models in the line if I see them on sale in the future.

Turn A is that you??????

With panel lining. This was done with just a simple 0.2mm pen and didn't come out all that clean, but I'm still pretty happy with the result (my first proper paneling lining attempt).

I should probably just buy a proper Gundam marker.

Seiko and Turbo Granny should date

With armor. Panel-lining next?

The pauldrons and tassets(?) are connected on swivels to the back and butt respectively, and are sort of floating over the joints, retaining the model's poseability. Neat!

Small small #bookhaul for #booksky from a "fill a bag for $10" booksale. Ended up with mostly Canadiana, quite by accident.

Pretty impressed with this 30 Minute Fantasy kit. Pictured is just the base model without the fantasy armor. Solid and straightforward build, extremely posable. Hopefully the Knight armor won't limit his articulation too much!

The surreal but serene environments of the Monument Valley games tickle my brain in exactly the right way

I'm not much of a drinker, so my recommendations don't mean much, but I've really been enjoying this vermouth.

For the life of me, I will never understand the appeal of corpo IP crossovers. The Simpsons in Fortnite! I cannot imagine a product more divorced from any of the aspects of the show I enjoyed.

my review:

Gameplay notwithstanding (and the gameplay is fantastic) Silksong is a must play simply for the craftsmanship on display. It is exquisitely polished on every level, brimming with little touches, and everyone involved in its making held themselves to the highest of standards.

The Guncannon is a capable unit, and can be utilized successfully in a wide variety of battlefield operations

(just wanted to take a photo of this cheapo music box kit I got from Dollarama)

A small #bookhaul for #booksky. I've been devouring Gabriel Garcia Marquez all summer long. And William Morris (1834–1896) is a cool guy. Socialist, early fantasy writer (big influence on Tolkien), printer, artist, designer, a real Renaissance Man.

oh, and boomerangs are cool

Cold drink on a hot evening. This heat wave is really making me feel those magical Colombian streets with their dusty almond trees.

Finally got around to watching the THUNDERBOLT FANTASY finale movie. Good stuff. Gonna miss Gen Urobuchi's puppet wuxia baby.

BTW, if you're thinking about watching but are on the fence, season one is self-contained, so you can dip your toe in without commit to all four seasons (and three movies).

Visited my parents last week and did the rounds to the used bookstores. Hit a half dozen or so. Here's my #bookhaul for #booksky 💙📚

They say buying books and reading books are two different hobbies...

I've really been enjoying the nytimes PIPS game. Following a chain of deductions (this goes here therefore that goes there) feels far more satisfyingly than in your average Sudoku game.

And the difficultly options ramp up nicely, giving you a good warmup for the hard puzzle.

Hey #booksky, are there any authors whose bibliography you recommend reading ALL of? Maybe even in release order, to see the arc of their career?

I've done this with Steinbeck (a multi-year affair) and have vague designs to do the same with Yasunari Kawabata and Gabriel García Márquez.

Is Joe Warmington a bot? Does the Toronto Sun not even proofread their articles? Absolutely atrocious writing on display.

problem found. The rubber backing pad on the buttons has weakened and started to separate, resulting in poor action. Deterioration from use and age.

Diagnosis: beyond my skill to fix :(
