My dad, raised in Lynchburg, VA, when talking to me today asked if there's an effort in cross stitch to make patterns of fancy ladies less white & thin. Then he started talking about how women's work has long been dismissed.

He's in his late 70s. If he can learn amd grow, so can the rest of y'all.

I decided to pull out an old #WIP that I put down last year. WHY did I almost finish the skirt and then just nope out???? Just a bit on the skirt and then decoration at the bottom - I'm much further along than I thought! #crossstitch

There's so much badBAD going on right now, but I did spend time this morning sitting next to the lavendar on our back deck drinking coffee with my husband. And then I came inside and got to see my sweet cat asleep on the bookshelf. At least a moment of slow breathing.

Cross stitching is done on Faerie Autumn Glow by Nora Corbett. Now on to backstitching and beads. And including the back because it doesn't look awful! #CrossStitch

My current WIP - Nora Corbett's Faerie Autumn Glow. I normally stitch in blues and purples so the change to red and orange has been nice. My husband is a big fan of Fall and got her fully kitted for me for Christmas. She's coming along! #WIP #CrossStitch
