Also, all the taxes that I pay are not just for health care. They also help to pay for public education, roads, sewers and the list goes on. I am still very happy that I was not bankrupted by my hospital stay and other surgeries and care I have received in the past. I am sure that i am still wrong

You are absolutely right it is not "free" and not perfect but a lot better than the potential of going bankrupt if you can't pay for your treatment.

29% of my income. I'm happy that it helps support those that struggle financially but need health care as well. The greater good of everyone makes for a healthier and caring society. At least, that is how I view it.

I unfortunately suffered a stroke in October while visiting family in Vancouver. Spent 9 days in the hospital there , 4 in Calgary, then received 6 weeks of intensive in-home therapy from 5 different therapists. Cost for me besides my paying of taxes = $0.00.

It is so immoral. Shareholders' wishes and profits above supporting those when they need it most. It makes me very sad that humans are so inhumane to the suffering of others. When will millionaires and billionaires have enough?

I guess 2 years from now, we shall if those who supported the election of Trump will awake from their stupidity coma and elect some people that will represent all the American people, not just the top 1%income earners. The rich just get richer, and the working class should just do as their told.

We are headed down a bad path when Poilievre is elected. He appears to have some similar views to Trump. Scary for us in Canada but unfortunately, Trudeau does need to go before he does anymore damage to this beautiful country
