We’re actually waiting until everyone’s lives are settled and kids are grown a bit to play that campaign. Right now we’re playing one-shots and a small-scale game. The GS campaign is all of the core game, so it’ll be a long game and it would kill me for it to fizzle out, so we’re waiting.

The DS sequel is up to you. You’re fine without it, but it is cool to see how characters grew up. The cliff hanger is upsetting.

Hell yes! It’s my favorite game of all time! I even converted it into a D&D campaign. It has a unique story, magic system, and combat system.

I recommend playing the first two for GBA. It’s technically one game but it was split up into two because the cartridge couldn’t hold both, lol.

I thought the same about Golden Sun. They continued it on the NDS, then left a cliffhanger before abandoning it😭
