@stux, it's silly, but I can't tell you how disappointing this is. I really wanted to believe, somehow, federation with Threads could only be good. A way, ultimately, to engage in pulling people to Mastodon. I feel less certain of that now.

Yeah, I hadn't thought about how that might flood a feed. It's a real bummer. Of course it'd be better to actually be on an ActivityPub platform but since Threads can talk to the Fediverse, it's a convenient way to get news that's not a repost bot.
