After an enthralling battle, China break Ireland at the end of set two and hold on to clinch the Davis Cup tie with a 6-2 7-5 scoreline.

The Irish side were probably the better pair in the second set, but fine margins went against them.

China lead 3-0 and there will be another singles.

After a close first set, China's Yunchaokete Bu showed his top 100 class to put away Ireland's Peter Buldorini 6-4 6-1 in the first singles.

Up next, Michael Agwi in the second singles against Yi Zhou.

The draw for this weekend's Davis Cup clash between Ireland and China has been set.

On Saturday, Irish no.2 Peter Buldorini will start off against Yunchaokete Bu (ranked 74th in the world).

Apart from a few service wobbles, 14-year-old Ida Wobker put on an incredible display as she won the 2025 Irish Open final with a 6-2 6-7 6-1 victory over Victoria Allen.

The German is a special talent with clean ball striking, efficient movement and skill in the forecourt.

Enormous potential.

It's finals day at the Irish Open and we're starting with the ladies.

Victoria Allen of Great Britain will take on 14-year-old Ida Wobker of Germany.

The German is the youngest player in the top 1000 and looks like a wonderful talent. Excited to see this.

After early brilliance from Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner turns the final with relentless consistency, aggression and improved serving.

The world no.1 takes a first Wimbledon title and fourth major overall with a 4-6 6-4 6-4 6-4 victory over the 2-time winner.

He's 3/4 of the way to a career grand slam.

Iga Swiatek wins her first Wimbledon title in under an hour after a (sadly) historic 6-0 6-0 victory over Amanda Anisimova.

The American who clearly struggled with nerves, couldn't handle the Pole's relentless ball striking, movement and focus.

Iga is now 3/4 of the way to a career grand slam.

One of the great privileges of my life was seeing Brian Wilson play in Dublin and Manchester.

I've loved Pet Sounds since I was a teenager, so the experience of witnessing it played so magnificently in full was life fulfilling.

An absolute musical genius in every respect who created wonder. RIP.

An absolute disgrace.

Signed up for the Roland Garros portal, waited in the queue, then when just about to buy tickets I get this screen.

I rang them once and they hung up on me, now the phone won't even answer. Absolutely horrendous experience.

After a great contest, Madison Keys ends up the winner and earns her first grand slam title.

Impressive how she held her nerve in the third set and kept going at Sabalenka.

You don't need to say anymore than Keys beat Sabalenka, Swiatek and Rybakina in the same major.

A remarkable achievement.

While attention is focused across the globe, there are tennis shenanigans happening in Dublin.

Looking forward to this at the Sugar Club.

This time last week:

Interpol at the 3Arena.

I first saw them almost 20 years ago which...is not great to think about.

I have arrived on Bluesky after the other place became unusable/insufferable.

My feed will feature a fair bit of tennis but I might throw some personality in for the craic.

For example, this place was the highlight of my year and most years:
