Kindergarten Parent meetings are underway and tomorrow I have to be part of my first 2 ever. I had to write up IEP Goals and other stuff that I never learned in College. My ESE liaison told me how proud she was of me and the Impressive goals I chose for the kids.

30 years ago, it was a Teacher’s planning day and I was sitting on the floor filing student work for my mentor when we heard the terrible news on the radio. 30 years later, it’s another teacher’s planning day and I’m creating IEP goals for my students while blasting her music. RIP #SELENA.

you know how in the movie "titanic" the boat spent like two hours wallowing and slowly sinking after it hit the iceberg and then in a span of five minutes it was like BOOM! straight to the bottom? it really feels like america is reaching those five minutes this week.
