British Juche is certainly...a choice
December 2, 2025 at 11:42 AM
Oh, so that's what you were talking about before, with the saying of idiotic things

James, James, James, don't you understand? Nothing is ever these people's fault.

She has a point that there was no organised welfare system as we would understand it, which is why Acts 2 describes how "All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need."

They've lost 2 MPs so there's a good chance that they're already there!
November 28, 2025 at 11:34 AM
...becoming?
November 27, 2025 at 1:07 PM
So, by that logic, people should also join Reform?

In the final analysis the clinching argument for PR might be "it can't suck any harder than this"
November 25, 2025 at 11:20 AM
Oh no, he's absolutely miserable. It's written in everything he says and does.
November 23, 2025 at 10:02 PM
Okay, yes, he absolutely shouldn't have done that. But at that time of night is it as bad as having driven drunk goodness knows how far on the motorway?
November 23, 2025 at 9:29 PM
More's the pity, he seems like a nice kid
November 23, 2025 at 8:25 PM
They've certainly always been populist, and horseshoe theory posits that there's a lot of overlap between extremists on the political left and right. How do you figure them to have been right wing all along?
November 23, 2025 at 8:23 PM
Horseshoe theory is alive and well
November 23, 2025 at 7:54 PM
As far as I'm concerned your grandad did nothing wrong.
November 23, 2025 at 6:26 PM
I tend to agree. My opinion of ZP's political instincts is higher than those of ZS, and those of ZS's as higher than Corbyn, and those of Corbyn as higher than... I'm honestly drawing a blank on the left for this one...
November 23, 2025 at 6:11 PM
Pardon me, but that's not much of a moderation. A (desirable) beefed-up European security partnership will need either a US material backstop or drastically increased military spending. Where are Polanski/the Greens on that question?
November 23, 2025 at 6:02 PM
Fully agree with the first half of that sentence. But is it not a better use of the left's time and energy to take the fight directly to Reform? FPTP alone means Labour is still likely to be a major player in a hung parliament. It's harder to negotiate with a decapitated party in full meltdown.
November 23, 2025 at 6:00 PM
He has? I've missed that
