I ordered a fresh copy of the pb when our HC died earlier this year. It went into the stacks, not the new shelf. And it’s been checked out almost constantly. I literally haven’t even seen it. I ordered a 2nd copy and two each of the others this week when our fiscal year turned over. ❤️🎉

The listing says the contents convey with the building, but — it’s illegal to sell/resell drop side cribs. Those cribs killed 32 babies & toddlers between 2001 and 2010, and they’re banned now. Hope they trash the one in the (haunted) basement room before the sale.

We finished Hot Frosty, but I realized partway through that I wasn’t going to be happy with the plot: a fully-realized adult getting involved with someone who…wasn’t. He could learn quickly, but there was so much he didn’t know that he came off childlike/innocent/new, and it was creepy.

It’s gross but a little satisfying for me when I manage to cut it off and clear the bar. I nominate cleaning out the little green machine brush, hose, and dirty water tank after a spot cleanup.

Depends on the library. Subscriptions vary, and I know of several libraries dropping hoopla because of the cost and the amount of low-quality materials in its catalog (for example, AI-generated work and summaries of books that trick people into thinking they’re getting the actual book).

It came about because of an Irish dance instructional video — Celtic Feet with Colin Dunne. It made my housemate and me laugh when he said things like “similar to what we’ve just done,” and we added - “Done. That’s my name. Dunne.”
