My favorite railroad has to be the Jackass and Western which was a railroad that served Area 25 in Nevada, it was used for hauling experimental nuclear reactors and rocket engines. Two out of the Three engines used on it survive and are now at the Nevada state railroad museum.

A photo I took at the Canadian Railroad Museum (Exporail) last month. 10/10 museum, I highly recommend it if you are in the area.
