🐴🌿 Eurohippus messelensis was a perissodactyl that lived in western Europe 47-38 MYA. These tiny horse-like creatures had four toes and spent their days munching on leaves from the tropical rainforests that covered the area. The specimen originates from the Messel pit, Germany 🇩🇪

Bernissartia fagesii, my beloved 💜
This basal eusuchian used to crawl around in between the Iguanodons ~130 MYA in what is now Bernissart, Belgium. It measured only 60 cm at maturity and is therefore one of the smallest - and cutest - crocodyliforms known to science
