I learned crochet in the fall of 2023 with the Woobles and instantly fell in love. I don't Wooble anymore but I crochet every day I can! I also like to paint with my friend, Amy, so I'll probably share those here too.

When I signed up for this cal on IG I didn't realize how much time I would be putting into it! This train is a LOT of flat crochet, which isn't my favorite, but it was worth it for the end result. The pattern also includes 2 open cars to pull behind the engine. #crochet #chirstmascrochet

Arthur the Elf was a gifted pattern for the @crochetchristmascal on IG and he was so fun to make! I used scrubby yarn for the sweater. It looks great but was a huge pain to work with. I also may have overdone it with the pom-pom but oh well... He's just a little extra. ❤️

This week #CrochetAway is about food and I have made little rainbow cakes for pride month and pumpkins for halloween but when I went looking for them I was reminded of this gem...the Sealreal! It was so fun to make and I laugh every time I see it. #crochet #amigurumi

I finished attaching all the September book squares to this blanket with 11 hours to go in October! I'm afraid if I let myself fall behind the blanket will never be finished so...onward! This is 78 squares on a king size bed.

My final read of September is #78 for the year so far. I trust Dr. Osterholm as a source for public health so I had to read the book. It was strange listening to someone else read his words after listening to his podcast for so long! lol

I've decided Bill Bryson is too wordy for me to read but I can enjoy the audio versions of his books. This one had so many fascinating connections and different things happening at the same time. I really enjoyed most of it.

I was wondering how this story was going to wrap up so quickly in book 3. And then I realized at least 2 more are planned. Doh! I'm enjoying the series though, so that's good. I'm amazed that this was book 75 for the year!

A flat crochet piece that looks like a cassette tape. It has dark gray along the outside. Four + signs, one in each corner, made of a lighter gray. A big white rectangle-ish shape in the middle with two black stripes at the top and the middle circles where the tape would move around. There are also 5 short stripes on either side of the circles top down: lavender, yellow, light green, red, blue. The bottom center of the piece is another light gray shape that is bigger on the bottom than the top.

It's #Throwback Thursday and I'm here to share one of my greatest accomplishments early on - the Bokoblin! This was my first venture into blanket yarn and it was a challenge but SO worth it when I gifted it to my child. #crochet #amigurumi #botw #zelda

A crochet monster meant to look like the Bokoblin from Zelda. It is blue, has a big head with large pointy ears off to each side, a pink snout and a white horn on top of it's head. The body, arms & legs are all blue with a sand colored band on each arm. The hands/feet are bulky and have a white nail/claw at the end of each finger/toe. It is wearing a skull necklace and a sand colored groin cloth with white stripes on it. One of my favorite images to share with people new to crochet with blanket yarn. Pictured is a blue magic circle with 12 stitches in it and every one has a stitch marker, instead of just the starting stitch. No shame in using the tools you have to help find those sneaky stitches with blanket yarn!

The prompt for #CrochetAway this week is WIPs. This is a blanket I'm making for myself and it's an easy on-the-go project so it's slow moving as I don't work on it at home. I love how it looks so far! #crochet #handmade #crochetblanket
The beginning of a crochet blanket. The bottom stripe is many rows of gray yarn with many colors scattered among it. The middle stripe is solid bright orange and the next stripe matches the gray/scattered colors. The stripe I'm currently working on is a solid dark teal color. The blanket will continue with 1 skein/row of gray/scattered colors followed by a solid color and repeat.

These little scarecrow bags were pretty easy to make and the free pattern includes pumpkin & ghost variations! I filled them with poly-fil but they would be cute with treats inside them too. #crochet

I gifted these beauties today so I can finally share them! I am probably done with the wheat stitch pumpkins for this season but they were fun & I might come back to them next year. For now I have other fall projects plus book squares plus all the other WIPS. ;)
