This doesn’t really make sense—the policy and its alleged exceptions are self-contradictory—but the upshot seems to be that the Pentagon will kick out virtually all transgender service members who are serving our country honorably. A cruel and despicable move that undermines national security.
JUST IN: The Pentagon has issued its formal guidance for currently serving transgender members of the military.
It says they will be separated from service unless they obtain a waiver meeting these criteria:

NEW: Chief Justice Roberts has temporarily halted Judge Ali’s order forcing the Trump administration to resume the foreign aid funding that it illegally halted. This means the aid money will NOT resume tonight, as Ali had directed, and the unlawful freeze can continue.
