Just realized I never posted here this Haikyū!! animation I did a while back. Tried to make the volleyball the main character here, with the players acting more like supporting roles.

People sometimes ask me how I animate cameras —
I wish I could say there’s a master plan, but I improvise as I go.
Tweaking the FOV helps shape what the viewer sees — more of the world, or a close-up.
From outside the camera, the scene’s usually a mess (*ﾉ▽ﾉ)

This anim I made is another one of those "useless" ones.
During that chase in Ori there was nothing in the background, so lightning-fast I made a cheap pass (the one above), we put it in the game and we saw that although it did't add anything at a gameplay level, it does add atmosphere.

Another one of those animations that I made looking for dynamism, but also weight in the actions.

Sometimes I spend a few hours animating a combo without any intention beyond honing my skills, since sometimes being a director means not animating for a while.
