At last month’s workshop I started a new drawing, inspired by the homework prompt (and all the isekai I’ve been watching 😅) It went through a LOT of sketching & development - inc. ref. photos with the help of fellow attendees.

It still needs a few more tweaks before it’s ready to start inking.

Have spent way too much of my life sketching horses, my mind horse is a bit too sassy for her own good.

Gotta love an animal-themed art share! I was just revisiting these ink and watercolor sketches of my elderly cat Tinkerbell from “Tinktober” a few years ago, some of which are now stickers.

She is sleeping in most of them because she hated being photographed SO much 😹 (and she was at least 18)

For #WorldFrogDay here’s an older drawing I made based on Aesop’s fable of The Ox and the Frog.

The frog in this story let her pride get better of her, but in the real world frogs’ survival instincts are being stretched to the limit.

As a #fantasyartist when I’m drawing mythical and made-up creature I obsess a LOT over getting the anatomy to look believable and realistic.

And then I look at my cat sleeping and wonder why I bother.
