We have made no progress on guns so I don’t expect any on healthcare. I have been raging against this particular machine for a long time as a career medical social worker. I hoped to see change in my life time but that looks less likely with each passing day.

Every doctor’s office should have a full time social worker - caveat: a Master’s in Social Worker is not a magic wand. We can’t fix baseline, we can’t fix a culture’s chosen problems but we can offer clinical skills & connections to community solutions
