Halloween is today but there is no reason to dress as a ghost! 👻

Post Facebook de Heroes for Zero: NL onderaan) 🤍 Il y a une semaine, Critical Mass Brussels s'est arrêté devant le ghost bike dédié à Jaymeen Patel, le cycliste tué par le conducteur d'un camion de chantier. Tout le monde est descendu de son vélo, s'est assis sur le bitume et a observé une minute de silence. Au début du cortège, quelqu'un a fait tinter sa sonnette. Puis un autre. Le son s'est amplifié jusqu'à former un chœur de sonnettes qui résonnait à travers la foule. Des applaudissements ont retenti, tout le monde s'est levé et a repris la route. 🚛Exactement comme il y a un peu plus d'un an, rue Colonel Bourg à Schaerbeek, où Catherine Gaudissart a été tuée par le conducteur d'un camion de chantier. La rue Bourg est aujourd'hui encore la même qu'à l'époque. Et les camions continuent de rouler dans les rues résidentielles. Pourtant, la technologie permettant d'éliminer l'angle mort existe : la norme Direct Vision Standard. Elle est utilisée depuis des années à Londres. Les organisations représentant les intérêts du secteur des transports @Febetra et @UPTR s'y opposent. 📢 Madame la ministre Elke Van den Brandt, combien de personnes devront encore mourir sous les roues d'un camion avant que vous n'introduisiez le standard Direct Vision ? --- 🤍 Een week geleden hield de Critical Mass Brussels halt bij de ghost bike voor Jaymeen Patel, de fietser die werd gedood door de chauffeur van een kiepwagen. Iedereen stapte af, ging zitten op het asfalt, en zweeg. Na een minuut stilte rinkelde iemand’s fietsbel aan het begin van de stoet fietsers. En nog iemand. Het geluid zwol aan tot een koor van fietsbellen dat door de menigte klonk. Er klonk applaus, iedereen stond op, en reed verder. 🚛 Exact zoals een dik jaar geleden gebeurde aan de Kolonel Bourgstraat in Schaarbeek, waar Catherine Gaudissart werd gedood door de chauffeur van een kiepwagen. De Bourgstraat ziet er vandaag nog steeds hetzelfde uit als toen. En vrachtwagens blijven door woonstraten denderen. Nochtans…

Un des temps forts vendredi soir, c’était le passage à côté du ghost bike installé à Etterbeek en mémoire de Jaymeen Patel, décédé le 10 septembre 2025 après avoir été fauché par un camion.

En attendant l'interdiction de rouler à 🚲 sur le piétonnier, 1 🚗 a été trouvée dans la rue de Laeken, bloquée dans des files depuis le 30/09/1991 selon son propriétaire
Avec lecteur cassette, manivelle pour descendre fenêtre, ...
Il serait temps de moderniser cette rue

Un nouveau vélo blanc est apparu à Bruxelles.
Ce soir, la Critical Mass rendra hommage à ce jeune père de famille mort sous les roues d'un camion. Et roulera pour continuer à exiger des aménagements permettant d'éviter ce genre de drame.
