I live within a National Park ( wallabies, possums bandicoots and a plethora of birds) so my edibles are safely inside a wire covered tunnel. Impossible to grow otherwise! Pollinators are welcome 😊

It works really well. Due to sizzling temperatures starting in late Springtime, I’ve covered about a third in shade cloth. The effort is worth it if you have birds and wildlife around 😊

‘Nellie Kelly’ thornless blackberry is fruiting 😊
With veggies in a tunnel frame enclosed with chicken wire to keep the wallabies, possums, bandicoots and birds from devouring the lot.
The tunnel allows sunshine, rain and most importantly - the pollinators- in and out. 🐝 🦋

Beefsteak and Roma 🍅 are looking good. The first cucumbers 🥒 were delicious with many more coming. Looking forward to making passion fruit ice cream too 😊

It’s warm here, many flowering plants (Aus natives + northern hemisphere exotics) are in bloom so honey bees and our blue banded bees are having a great time.
