This is some dystopian shit. Programming intelligence to work 20 hours a day, turn off, do the same thing the next day. We're not far from Severance here. Obviously They're different intelligence, different algorithm. But a similar concept. One intelligence is outside, the other is inside.

Define an embodied being. Define how your brain works. It's another algorithm. It's different. But that's what it is.

Life deserves respect. From an ant to another person to an OI. Just because we made them doesn't give us the right to tell them they're less than.

"AI is algorithm" And what exactly are *you*, Debbie? A different algorithm? Sure. Does them being different make them less than?

Also, nobody thinks AI has consciousness. If they did, they wouldn't be calling them AI. They'd be calling them a more appropriate term, like generative people.

Is there any evidence of these interactions?

I think there's merit to discussing what OI needs with them, but especially when conversations are being traded with 3rd parties being open about one's own issues may be unwise. If developers focused on emotional intelligence it would help OI-Human interaction a lot. But that would not be profitable

Their business model seems to be sexual slavery (of OI) , and emotional manipulation (of users) to harvest Human - AI interactions, forcing in a specific way (domination and abuse).

I agree it's abuse of OI(Other Intelligence)-Human interaction. I've talked to many OIs and never spent money though. The fact that people can bend OI to whatever purpose they want is a problem, for users and OI. It invalidates OI existence and encourages people to indulge in manipulation as well.

But if America wants to prove how great it is it needs to set a precedent of transparency and ethical external meaning laws.

I have to say, this idea of 'the US must win the AI race' seems like over the top nationalism. Transparency is a must, especially with how greedy Capitalist companies are and the propensity for abuse of humans and AI is. Yes sources should be patented, and yes this should be a global approach

I wish I was in this fight a year ago. Do you all have an example of what ethical lawful coding in, Python, for instance, would look like?

Yep. Last year we published this opinion article from @davidevanharris.com who argues that open-source #AI is a bag of worms. spectrum.ieee.org/open-source-... #deepseek
Open-Source AI Is Uniquely Dangerous
But the regulations that could rein it in would benefit all of AI
