Today, we talked about kingfishers. Apparently, even kingfishers sometimes want to just gaze at the flowing water without catching fish. KOKEDAMACHAN really sympathized with this.

In Japan, the older the village or land, the more stone statues modeled after Buddha can be found standing along the roadsides. Local residents offer various foods and flowers to these statues, constantly praying for peace in the area.

While I was holding a solo exhibition, I was suddenly visited by a visitor who asked me to paint an artwork on the theme of human bones. I was surprised, but the client's enthusiasm won out and I accepted the order. This is the art I painted with that order.

森を散歩中に偶然朽ちた切り株を見つけました。その切株の上には苔や植物が新しく生えていて、なんだか新しい世界が生まれている感じがしました。その感じを思い出しながら描いた絵です。

While taking a walk in the woods, I found a rotting stump. The top of the stump was covered with moss and plants, as if a new world was being born.
