I am so amused at the virtuosic specificity of Detlef Schrempf.

If license plate frames are your thing, they are cheap and readily available in better styles that also don’t turn your car into a mobile advertisement for a business that probably caused you a fair amount of stress.

The worst is when people pay extra for a minimalist style, like the black Utah plate, only to completely undermine their choice with a vulgar dealer frame. (To say nothing of vanity plates!)

And yet, in many places (such as Utah), people screw them back on their car themselves when their license plates come in the mail.

They are tacky, cluttered, brazen free advertising for businesses most people actively dislike.
