Today's retro kit highlight is the 1997 Women's ICC World Cup-winning Aussies. The 1993 Cup was played in traditional whites (including skirt/socks combo).

By 1997, coloured kits were long overdue & featured unique women's designs. This lasted about five years before men & women wore the same kit.

Another interesting point about the Australian women's team is a small detail few notice. Although they now wear the same uniforms, their baggy green cap has a slight differentiation.
The men's version features a yellow on red 'Australia' ribbon, the women's one is reversed.

Seeing Babar & Rizwan bat in such an outdated manner in T20's only makes you admire Rohit Sharma more. Changing one's game ain't easy but he took it upon himself to set the tempo at the top.

But, it has cost us the skills of Rohit Sharma, the test opener. Lost all the confidence in his defence.

Incredible shot from Gilly here. Wasn't a bad delivery from Pollock at all, the ball was pitched on the off stump & going across, but the subtle, last minute adjustment of the grip that Gilly does is just amazing. That's what helped him to manoeuvre the ball in to the gap. Sheer brilliance !!
