Today I discovered that Franz Brentano is the secret founder of psychology (based on observation), phenomenology, and the key figure of the linguistic turn. Without him, there wouldn't be Husserl, Heidegger, Russell, Wittgenstein, and many others. He is the mother of the 20th century.
