First real witnessing of my limited understanding of category theory.

I saw min and max and I was like "Thats gotta be a product", and turns out SDFs are lattices!! Hurrah

Genuinely, is there a SINGULAR example of a successful SAAS company that uses vanilla JS static frontend ?
I really despise articles like this where it seems to depict a world where there genuinely is no figma, notion, slack github etc and only static blog sites
JavaScript broke the web (and called it progress)
We replaced simple websites with complex apps nobody asked for. Now it takes a complex build pipeline just to change a headline.

Another category theory rant for using general words -
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diagram...
Diagram... man diagram already means something when you can't generalize the act of drawing to a functor XD XD

As a beginner the fact that concepts in category theory has slightly different meaning when its used as a noun v. adjective keeps catching me off guard... like
Categorical product v. product category
Monoid as category v. monoidal category

I am really liking the rise of functional programming in the frontend space.

However, having only been really comfortable with Typescript, I can't gauge the comfort level of using something like clojurescript or elixir ( phoenix ) without static typing

Is the experience similar to just raw JS?

Has anyone done extensive unit testing on frontend with Remeda and Vitest? I want to get to testing with effect eventually but I want to get my feet wet without changing too much of the codebase

Something I don't really understand about these brand of videos, is even despite the notion that its frustrating to learn new things ( you are a developer... its part of your job ), the sentiment is always like "Svelte and React are completely different a new things come up every week Waah!!!"

And maybe this is the matrix neo moment all of the Effect developers had, but how would other languages even begin to solve this problem? Isn't this a unique benefit of Javascript that there is a typescript engine running to help you make correct decisions all the time?

I think after a year of really struggling, I think I grokked effect.ts, It's a burrito.

JK. But as I understand it Effect's main concern is this, "how do you represent a program without running it". And Javascript has an incredible engine that is "running" all the time - the typescript server.

Are there people using IndexedDB seriously to make single player games?

I see this roadmap - would be nice to see serious games being developed this way.

Has anyone seriously tried to impart MCP on games? I feel like mcp on Civ would be insanely fun. Doesn't even have to affect gameplay, it would just add a little bit of context to every interaction. I.e ) someone declares war and says exactly why they don't like you.

Aside from the real job market shortage - I have a hard time understanding the rhetoric people have regarding they don't hire pure frontends because its all full stack engineers now and corporations are being "greedy". Yes corporations are greedy - but wasn't that always the case?

Am I being narrow minded if I just downloaded phoenix to learn some elixir and turned it off when I realized there's no typescript support?
