They didn’t put too much daikon in this time. It’s almost as if they were trying to subvert my photo mission. But you can see a little bit in there — and it’s plenty enough for flavor, with the amount of vinegar they use to pickle it and the carrots. 😊

Hey, @dc2go.bsky.social, they heard my call! 🤣🤣🤣

My favorite banh mi place was closed for the holiday! Will try again later in the week.

The literal small things … 😅

DO IT. I’ll order one today, too, so we can have dueling banh mi cross-sections.

Whoa. I wonder if daikon is a north/south thing for banh mi. I can’t remember which is which, but only half of Vietnam does all the sprouts and sweet basil and other stuff in pho!

Damned overachiever . . . 😅

Amazon?

Did you intentionally order the banh mi without the daikon (don't pronounce it like how they do on Food Network, and no one needs to get hurt)? Because . . . there appears to be no daikon, and that is possibly against the rules.

Sigh …

Yeah, it's a strange relationship. I've often heard of Aldi/TJ's being referred to as "cousins" . . . but you know how "cousins" has all kinds of implications, legally and societally and . . . yeah.

Weird! I saw one in, of all places, Edinburgh. Yes, Scotland! It was quite disorienting. 😅

Wow. Quality recording, too. Thanks!

I know I've seen a couple of people say this season wasn't the best, but I was happy with it! Really good balance of time with each character. The destabilization thing was unnervingly well-timed with current events, didn't you think?

Ahhh, yes. Oatmeal + someone else is responsible for the dishes. That is indeed the best.

Though to be fair, people on the continent don't get to have papaya and mangoes that taste the way they do fresh here.
