I hate to break it to you, I’m an CSA survivor. I despise pedophile predators, I still believe in the right to speech. Bsky should expand their nsfw filters, not limit the speech of someone.

The platform allows people to curate their own experience for a reason, morality of said experience should not matter because morals are objective and change based on a multitude of factors.

While I’m aware slippery slopes are a fallacy for a reason, history shows limiting free speech leads to many civil rights violations. Take the UK for example, you can’t even post pictures of oneself enjoying an activity in a country where said activity is legal without being arrested when returning.

I don’t disagree however there is a distinction to be made. I am defending people’s right to have an opinion, I don’t have to like the opinion.

Regardless of how you may feel about the subject matter, censoring people because a difference in opinion is straight up fascism. The ability to have constructive conversations/debates is a pillar of a healthy society.
