Bit of both really, but more the latter - that's really down to the design philosophy of the period. One more modern example and one closer to that era

Very good to emphasise avoiding teaching to the test and contributions from leaders. I wish that last part went further though - "ensuring teachers are trained to teach writing" feels like a limited vision of leadership contributions. Most important to signal their own learning journey with writing.

Very much agree with point 5- schools feel compelled to drive to rate of output very early, and need to think more about consolidating steps along the way. Point 7 re identifying pupils also crucial. Vital to do this a) collaboratively with English/lit specialists, and b) using samples of pupil work

From the summary. Broadly agree with all of these, and glad to see that the issue of writing FLUENCY specifically is picked up in Point 3.

Point 3 is not very clearly-expressed though, at least in summary form. Children need a) mechanical practice of sentence construction AND b) grammatical skills

Post a character you love

Far from flawless, but utterly compelling and too badass for words. And driven by a superstar performance

Quite some juxtaposition on the TL here

Not sure whether tagging would count as snitching here so will err on the side of caution
