My poem “Gahé Dzíł / Mountain Spirits” from my new book “is(ness) has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Thanks! This means that a poem from each of my books released has been nominated for this award. Now it’s a cross-my-fingers moment until they announce. Maybe 3rd time's a charm?

After seven years, it's time to say goodbye to GENESIS. But hopefully not forever. I've got to look into a second printing with a different publisher and get this collection in its original concept. I'm open to legitimate serious suggestions.

This is what the weather looked like on the morning I left Santa Fe, New Mexico. The day after my reading. The weather makes for a beautiful picture, but it's not enjoyable to drive in. I made it home okay.

My reading in Santa Fe, New Mexico, went well at Geronimo Books. Reading with my long-time friend James A. Stevens was great. The Q&A afterward was very engaging, with good questions and conversations.

The current issue of POETRY Magazine (March/April) dropped. Two poems from two current separate manuscripts I am working on. The poem excerpts are from the self-titled poems. Excellent issue with necessary Indigenous work.
