Oh my god SAME! I've been trying to do style studies of the anime and the comics for the past few days because its been such a motivator for me to draw as of late, but when it comes to my art you're for sure my biggest inspiration haha

Haha thanks! As weird as it sounds I think Bryan Lee O'Malley and Tamsyn Muir might be like, some of the biggest inspirations for writing, which is probably an odd mix.

Yeah! That! I'm not like super good at critically analyzing stuff so something like "growing up" is the best word I have for it, but he's definitely improved as a writer with how the show handles it's characters!

I've heard some people say that Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is what the comics would have been if O'Malley "grew up", and slightly condescneding message aside, I think I kinda see it?

SAME honestly! I absolutely love what they did with Knives' character arc in this show, I'd argue it's handled a lot better than the comics
