Impair the opponent, throw them off balance and it takes them time to recover, some game mechanic that's more nuanced then subtracting a pseudo random number from a hit points sack!

Location damage and critical hits have been around for a while, they should be very doable in computer games considering modern graphics and physics engines, etc.

I'm working on a long term ground lease rewrite now, trying to explain to landlord that INFLATION IS THE ENEMY. They want to write off recent events as a óne off, but not necessarily so over a century!
