I poet as truth, as love, as liberation. I poet as instruction, as comfort, as medicine. I poet as resistance, as defiance, as breath. I poet as birth, as life, as death. #poetry

Disability Pride is brown and caramel and butterscotch and chocolate. Disability Pride is multilingual and multinational and multicultural. Disability Pride is seed and harvest and provision. Disability Pride is warrior and want and wound. Disability Pride is Immigrant.

BREAKING: Texas officials are blaming bad weather forecasts for deadly floods.

But let’s rewind—Trump gutted the National Weather Service. Slashed funding. Fired experts. Ignored every warning.

Now people are dead.
THIS is what happens when you let idiots dismantle public safety.

I wasn't born with Disability Pride. I bled for it. I cried for it. I fought for it. I've endured too much to let this system erase my Disability Pride.

ICE *already* can't meet their detainment numbers without rounding up children, veterans, people born in the U.S., people with no criminal records, people at immigration hearings, plus academics and visitors with valid visas.

So who do they plan to detain with >10x the budget?

The answer is: you.
If the GOP reconciliation bill passes, ICE gets through FY2029:

- $45 billion for detention, on top of the current annual budget of $3.4 billion
- $14.4 billion for transportation and removal, on top of the current annual budget of $750 million
- $8 billion for hiring/retention
- Billions more.

If the poem is personal, and the personal is political, the poet must be the path. #WriteTheRevolution

The beauty that is Crip Love is something that can't be imagined, nor studied, nor displayed. Crip Love is a state of existence that can only be experienced by those immersed in the beauty of brokenness.
