The claw only does as the head says. In order to defeat the beast you must defend against the claws but attack the head. If you cut off a claw it only leaves you open to the beast's other claws and the machinations of the head. In order to stop the claws we must cut off the head.

This isn't a winning football team. When the offense finds something, the defence fails, when the defence gets it done the offense is no where to be seen. This team is broken right now and it's a little late in the season to find a way to fix it.
