Fujimoto has not been very subtle in this final arc about Yoru, the literal War Devil, basically becoming the embodiment of America as a "military super power." It was the American aggression the fully restored her powers and emboldened her war on Chainsaw Man.

So I got a love/hate relationship with Re:Zero. I've always found Re:Zero to be one of those types of isekais that likes to have its cake and eat it too when it comes to its commentary on otakudom. So it makes it all the more shocking to me that Regulus is one of my favorite written antagonists.
