I do wish to not at this point I had not lost a single pokemon in battle outside a Ratocate against a crit by I believe the captain of the SS Anne

Koga, Blaine and Giovanni all fell with ease thanks to my efforts to obtain my final team.

I was now approaching Sabrina, infamously the toughest boss in pokemon gen 1, and with only a Beedrill, that thanks to gen 1 been gen 1 was still not the best.I had to make everything count. So I grabbed Snorlax and with those 2 and Parasect+Nidoking, I won again without any losses.

At this point I diversified my Nidokings moveset to give me an advantage for the rest of the game, beating Erika and Team Rocket with relative ease thanks to Pidgeotto and Nidoking.

At this point I decided to use a moon stone on my nidoran so I had a powerhouse. However I wanted a little insurance for my Lt. surge run, so I grabbed a Diglet too.

So I started with Bulbasaur, my favourite of the 3 kanto starters and easily the least liked one. Either way, after catching a pidgey, Nidoran and Weedle before wiping out Brock with Bulbasaur.

Misty went down more the same and at this point I also had Parasect to add to my team diversity.

By the time I did, I had already beaten Johto, Sinnoh, Kalos, Alola (S/M) (still need to play USUM) and Galar so I was well prepared for how easily I was going completely wiped the floor with the competition. Either way, as a brief guide of how it went…

The pathfinder games are infamously hit or miss to the point where even fans of PF1E struggle to recommend them without a lot of warnings attached.

The designers clearly had a lot they wanted to do with the system and it shows. I don’t know if I would use bloat, but with how much I have played, there is certain an excess, but not to the point of hurting the system.

Intresting thoughts, although I don’t really have anything to add that I haven’t already said in another comment.

Funny you mention that, as I CAN think of something that is all build up.

Trails in the sky the first is practically speaking a game long prologue for the second game, and it’s one of my favourite games out there. And it’s not exclusive to games, but also books. Not that I can think of one now.

If I can share what I’m passionate about, I hope I can bring along likeminded people who also like stuff. Also the fact I LOVE to go on and on for ages about the stuff I love. I’ll probably end up having a ton of threads so I can say everything I want to.

I mean I wouldn’t give up hope just yet, we got the Etrian Odyssey games on steam, even if it is a pipedream.

Thanks for the welcome, you have very good taste, while not my favourite megaten game, I do love the devil survivor games too, in the case of 2 and how it’s various characters interact with the situation.
